This error guide describes the various stages of analysis that can help identify the cause of a wrong time display.
Analysis Steps (Basis)
- Is the time on the STARFACE referred to via NTP server or configured manually?
- Is the time display in the call lists correct?
- Is the time display on the telephones and other devices correct?
- Is the time display right in the STARFACE correct?
- Does the error change after a restart of the STARFACE?
Rewrite Time Settings
To completely rewrite the time settings of the STARFACE, the following steps must be performed:
- Access via ssh to the STARFACE with the root user (see also Password for the Root User)
- Delete the file "adjtime" in the directory "/etc/"
- Delete the file "drift" in the directory "/var/lib/ntp"
- Restart the STARFACE
Note: The restart of the STARFACE interrupts all active calls and connections.
