Important Notes About The Release

  • STARFACE for macOS has undergone a complete revamp of its underpinnings with version 7.0. Our app now relies on Swift technology. Even if this does not change much of the functionality for the time being - this enables our development to react faster and better to upcoming requirements in the future. STARFACE for macOS is faster, more secure and more future-proof from version 7.0.0.0.

Bugfixes

  • BLF's remained highlighted when scrolled over.

  • Number of received messages was not displayed correctly in chat tabs.

  • Status of contacts in chat tabs was sometimes not updated correctly.

Improvements

  • Renaming of STARFACE UCC Clients and Mobile Clients to STARFACE Apps. The new product name is now "STARFACE". The distinction is made by the respective operating system. For example, in the future we will speak of "STARFACE for macOS" or the "STARFACE App for macOS".

  • The individual windows of STARFACE for macOS now behave more as expected.

  • After starting STARFACE for macOS, all chat tabs that were open before the last exit are open.

  • Various small corrections to the user interface and displayed text.

  • If STARFACE NEON was opened via the button when the UCC Client was started for the first time after (re-)installation, an error message was displayed.

Known Issues

  • This beta version of the UCC Client for Mac has problems with the verification of the Apple ID. Therefore, an exception must be added. To do this, open the context menu in the Finder by right-clicking on "STARFACE UCC Client" and select "Open". In the following warning dialogue, confirm by clicking on "Open" that the application may be executed despite the faulty signing/notarisation.
  • If STARFACE NEON is opened via the button of the same name when the UCC Client is started for the first time after (re)installation, an error message appears.
