kann eine neue Backup-Konfiguration erstellt werden. Die erstellte Backupdatei ist vom Typ ".sar". Die Konfiguration erfolgt in 4 Schritten.

A new backup configuration can be created using the "Create" or "New Schedule" button. The Configuration is carried out in 4 steps.
First Step
The configurable items in the first step are:

| Name | A name for the backup configuration which is as meaningful and unique as possible should be entered here. |
| Report to | If an error occurs, the backup configuration messages are sent to the e-mail address stored here. |
| Backup intervall | This drop-down menu is used to control how often a backup configuration is to be executed in a time-controlled manner. The Manual selection means that the backup process is not started automatically; instead, it must always be started manually. |
| Start & Time | The information provided for Start and Time indicate the time that the backup process automatically starts for the first time. The time information provided under Backup interval is calculated from the time configured at this point. |
An internal STARFACE monitoring process prevents STARFACE Archivierung and backup creation being started in parallel with one another. The process started first runs until it ends, and the second process starts one hour later. It is recommended to make a clear temporal separation here.
Second Step
In the second step, the checkboxes are used to define what STARFACE data forms part of the backup and is therefore backed up:

| Note: Both CDR data and the voicemails can contain considerable amounts of data and therefore make the backup file very big. This should be taken into account when choosing the backup file’s storage location. |
Third Step
In this third step, the storage location for the backup file can be selected. In this regard, only one of the possible options can be selected during this configuration step. More storage locations can be added later while the backup process is being configured.
The available storage locations are:

| Send to e-mail address | Send the backup file by e-mail |
During this process, the access data for the respective system must be specified using the 
button in the case of individual options such as Windows Share or Dropbox. If Windows Share has been selected as the storage location, the following access data must be entered:

If SFTP has been selected as the storage location, the following access data must be entered:

| Path | The absolute path or . (dot) for the current directory |
If Dropbox has been selected as the storage location, access to Dropbox must be guaranteed for the STARFACE backup process.

Fourth Step
In this last step of the configuration process, you receive a brief overview of the settings made, and it must be determined how to proceed with the configuration.
There are 3 options in this regard which can be selected using the checkbox:

| Only execute backup | The backup process is executed immediately, but the created configuration is not saved. |

Die konfigurierbaren Punkte im ersten Schritt sind:
Hier wird angegeben zu welchem Zeitpunkt der ersten automatische Starts des Backupprozesses erfolgt. Ab dem an dieser Stelle konfigurierten Zeitpunkt rechnet die Zeitangabe bei "Backup-Intervall".
2.Schritt
Im zweiten Schritt wird über die Checkboxen festgelegt, welche Daten der STARFACE ein Teil des Backups sind und damit gesichert werden:
Die folgenden Checkboxen stehen zur Verfügung:

| Ansagetexte | Selbst erstellte Ansagetexte (z.B. für Voicemailboxen) |

| Hinweis: Sowohl CDR-Daten als auch die Voicemails können beträchtliche Datenmengen enthalten und dadurch die Backupdatei sehr groß werden lassen. Dies sollte bei der Wahl des Speicherorts der Backupdatei beachten werden. |
3.Schritt
In diesem dritten Schritt kann nun der Speicherort für die Backupdatei ausgewählt werden. Dabei ist es in diesem Konfigurationsschritt nur möglich eine der möglichen Option auszuwählen. In der Konfiguration des Backupprozesses können später noch weitere Speicherorte parallel hinzugefügt werden.
Die zur Auswahl stehenden Speicherorte sind:
Dabei müssen bei einzelnen Optionen, wie z.B. Windows Share oder Dropbox, über die Schaltfläche noch zusätzlich die Zugangsdaten zu dem jeweiligen System angegeben werden. Wenn als Speicherort "Windows Share" ausgewählt worden ist, müssen die folgenden Zugangsdaten eingetragen werden:

Wenn als Speicherort "SFTP" ausgewählt worden ist müssen die folgenden Zugangsdaten eingetragen werden:
Ein Beispiel für Zugangsdaten könnte folgendermaßen aussehen:
Wenn als Speicherort "Dropbox" ausgewählt worden ist, muss dem Backupprozess STARFACE Zugriff auf die Dropbox gewährt werden. Der Backupprozess selbst erstellt ein Verzeichnis „starface-backup" mit einem Unterverzeichnis, dessen Name dem Namen des Backupprozesses entspricht.

Die einfachste Konfigurationsmöglichkeit besteht hier über die Schaltfläche . Diese Schaltfläche erlaubt einen direkten Zugriff auf die Dropbox-Seite und nach einer erfolgreichen Anmeldung an selbiger auch die sofortige Erstellung des Bestätigungsschlüssels.
4. Schritt
In diesem letzten Schritt der Konfiguration erhält man eine kurze Übersicht der getroffenen Einstellungen und muss festlegen wie mit der Konfiguration verfahren wird.
Es gibt dabei 3 Möglichkeiten die über die Checkbox ausgewählt werden können:
