This tab is used to configure the general telephone settings on the STARFACE.
Autoprovisioning of New End Devices
The STARFACE autoprovisioning can be switched on and off using the
and buttons . Please note that changes made here become active immediately and that there are no further messages/queries..Applied server address: This drop-down menu is used to centrally control which IP address is set on the connected telephones by the autoprovisioning of STARFACE in order to establish the connection between the terminal device and STARFACE. The possible “Default” selection sets the IP address which is configured on the STARFACE eth0 port.
Enable new phones automatically: Deactivating this option prevents telephones from being automatically registered via auto provisioning and supplied with access data. The telephones are then listed as detected in the overview list, but they are not registered or functional on STARFACE. The telephones marked as inactive must be activated individually via the corresponding checkbox in the overview list of configured telephones.
Software Updates for End Devices
Firmware auto update: By default, telephones automatically receive the latest firmware delivered with STARFACE when auto provisioning is activated. This distribution process can be deactivated by this checkbox if required.
The button
can be used to manually start the distribution of the firmware version stored on the STARFACE to all connected telephones.Authorized MAC Addresses
MAC address restriction: To only use autoprovisioning for certain telephones or to set up an additional security measure, a MAC address filter can be activated at this point. This means that only registration attempts of phones/end devices with a MAC address entered in the list will be considered by STARFACE.
If the limitation of MAC addresses is to be temporarily suspended, the checkbox can be deactivated without the existing entries being lost.
