Description:

This guide describes the various steps in the analysis that can help identify a possible cause of failure when searching the address book in the STARFACE Mobile Client for iPhone is not possible.

Analysis Steps (Basis)

  1. Is a specific user or are all users affected by the problem?
  2. Is only a specific device or all existing devices affected?
  3. Does browsing the address book work through other accessibility, such as the STARFACE UCC client?
  4. Has the XMPP server been configured correctly?
  5. Is a specific error message (for example code -1200) repeatedly displayed while searching the address book?
  6. Has the Port 443 been properly enabled/redirected to access the address book (see also Overview of Port Usage of the STARFACE)?

Note About SSL Errors

The SSL error "Code-1200" occurs when the SSL certificate of the STARFACE web server has been issued to a different address or domain than the XMPP domain. This is not accepted by IOS and leads to the error message "Code-1200".
